Bodies Are Magic! (2018-2019)
Everyone has a body, and most people have complicated relationships with their bodies. In a world where body shame and self-hate is a tool of oppression, white supremacy, and patriarchy, experiencing joy in our bodies is a radical act. Bodies are Magic! invites an exploration the body as a space of joy, power, and liberation, inviting all participants and audience members to rejoice in the magic of their own bodies. Light Rail Plays (2017, 2018)
This project pairs youth artists one-on-one with adult professional artists to create 5 minute, 2 person plays on and around our public transit system. Using a wide range of theatrical elements, including music, dance, circus, and masks, this is a transformative community experience not to be missed. (Description from Rising Youth Theatre Website)
